The Gibraltar government has begun discussions with Cirque du Soleil about creating a custom-made show which would be performed in Gibraltar for approximately one month in the spring /summer of 2020.
The unique show would have Gibraltar's history, heritage, culture, diversity and identity as a people as its theme. Cirque du Soleil, which currently has a show in Malaga, is a spectacular circus which does not involve animals, and its shows are seen by millions of people all around the world.
Murray Sutherland, the senior director of the group's business development and partnerships section, has recently paid a fact-finding visit to Gibraltar and discussed possible sites for the show.
