  • The catwalk for the Larios Malaga Fashion Week is the longest of its kind in Europe

The catwalk for the most important fashion show in Spain, part of the Larios Malaga Fashion Week, measures over 300 metres in length and is the longest haute couture cat walk in Europe.

The fashion show starts tonight at 8pm and finishes on Saturday evening. It attracts over 15,000 spectators a day and designers from all over the world.

Audiences can expect to see collections from Mona Almansouri from the United Arab Emirates; Spanish designers Sandra Rojas Novias, Abraham Zambrana, Rafael Urquízar, Ángel Palazuelos, Gemma Melé and Juan Segovia; and the French company Livia Montecarlo, among many others.

Around 80 professional models will be walking the runway, showing off the beautiful gowns, wedding dresses, luxury-themed collections and ready-to-wear items provided by the designers.

This year the Alfiler de Oro (Golden Pin) award will go to Malaga designer Javier Alcántara in recognition of his 20 years work in professional haute couture.
