Malaga: the women's handball team show their worth; Davidovich eliminated in tennis

The 'Warriors' once again demonstrated on Tuesday why they have that nickname. After the initial setback last Sunday, when the Spanish women's handball team lost to Sweden in their Olympic debut, they went on to brilliantly defeat one of the candidates to climb the Olympic podium: France (28 -25).

The team, which includes Malaga players Sole López, Marta López and Merche Castellanos, won again on Thursday, this time against Brazil (27-23), a victory that has increased the optimism over their chances of a medal.

Meanwhile, in tennis, Novak Djokovic is already in the quarter-finals of the Games after beating Alejandro Davidovich 6-3 and 6-1, in one hour and 23 minutes. The Serbian did not go through great difficulty to get the better of the young Malaga player. Davidovich stood up to the world number 1 in the first set and even gained two break points in the third game of the first set, but could not turn them to his advantage.
