Manolo Gaspar confirmed as Malaga's sporting director
The former player had been in the role on an interim basis for five months

After five months in the role on an interim basis, Manolo Gaspar has this week been confirmed as Malaga's permanent sporting director.
In a video posted on social media, Gaspar expressed his delight at the news and excitement at the project ahead to create "a solid foundation for the club going into the future".
Gaspar, who played for Malaga in two spells (2001-2004 and 2008-2011), added: "It nice, though rare, to have people from the club occupying the highest positions."
