Two companies based in Malaga have been included in a ranking of the fastest-growing companies in Europe by the Financial Times.

Sipadan, a training and digitisation consultancy, and Fortris, a software company, both made the FT 1000 list based on three-year revenue growth.

Sipadan appears in position 451, having increased its income from 959,522 euros to 4,312,711 (a growth rate of 349%) and its workforce from 31 to 46 workers.

The company, founded two decades ago, is a consulting service for training and human resources. Their clients include Prosegur, Heineken Spain, Campofrío and Puleva, among others.

Fortris, founded in Malaga in 2017, and led by Canadian CEO Shane Lourensse, has increased its revenue from 1.4 million to 5.9 million in three years. The company, which has 112 employees, occupies position 523 on the list and is 20th out of the 38 Spanish companies on the list.

The CEO of Fortris said he was "proud of our sustainable and organic growth".

"We are committed to meeting the growing demand for technology solutions that allow companies to integrate digital assets, both on the balance sheet and operationally,” he said.

Fortris claims to be "a world leader in digital asset treasury operations for institutions and businesses, thanks to an innovative approach to the world of digital assets".

The company offers businesses tools for keeping cryptocurrencies and using them in commercial transactions.
