Nerja businessman, Jonathan Méndez, has approached a company in Catalonia with the idea of constructing the world's longest zip wire along the town's Chíllar river.
Méndez, who owns a firm called Meynber, has asked Zip-trans Systems S.L. to provide a report on the technical and environmental viability of installing a 700-metre-high and 3.1-km-long zip wire.
Méndez has estimated that the project would cost "around 500,000 euros".
