Marbella council is finalising the process which will allow for construction in the area known as Siete Revueltas in Las Chapas.

The area, one of the last remaining undeveloped plots south of the A-7 highway, will be recategorised to allow for the construction of a luxury hotel and 186 family homes.

The land, some 242,000 square metres, is highly valuable as it has direct access to the sea. Currently it is used for agriculture but it mostly abandoned. The area has four owners, the largest of which is Marbella-based Inversiones Shine-House.
