Vélez-Málaga shop owners consider protests after fall in sales

They claim up to 35 per cent fall in sales since the pedestrianisation works started in the town centre

Shop owners in Vélez-Málaga are considering protesting over the pedestrianisation of the town centre after suffering up to 35 per cent fall in sales since the work started, according to spokesperson, Luís García.

However, town hall sources have responded saying there is "more than enough evidence to show pedestrianisation of urban centres has positive repercussions".
