Celebrating 60 years since five boys discovered the Nerja caves

The four surviving discoverers of the Cueva de Nerja, along with the widow of the fifth man, José Luis Barbero, who died in 2007, were reunited at the historical site last Friday to mark the 60th anniversary of their discovery.

On 12 January 1959, the five boys were playing in the area when they found an entrance to the cave.
