Atalaya Park will become part of Meliá group next year after 18-million refit

The Meliá hotel group will take over the running of the Atalaya Park Hotel, located between Estepona and Marbella, from next year.

The group will invest 18 million euros in refitting the building and will operate the hotel under its Sol by Meliá brand.

It will have 468 bedrooms, six restaurants and bars as well other facilities including a golf practice range. With the countrys tourism sector reporting another record year so far in 2017, it marks continued expansion for the group in its Spanish base.

Speaking about Estepona, a Meliá statement said, This is one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean... the area offers real variety for tourists and is also a golf-lovers paradise.
