Estepona town hall, the local Red Cross and the Otoclinic foundation have signed an agreement to supply hearing aids for free to people on low incomes.
Otoclinic has worked alongside the Red Cross for many years to identify people in need who are unable to afford hearing aids.
The agreement, similar to ones already in place in Marbella, Ronda, Vélez-Málaga and Antequera, guarantees clinical and technical assistance to patients with hearing problems.
The hearing aid bank in Estepona already has twenty devices available and that number is set to rise as the level of cases of people needing them is assessed.
This will be the second initiative in the town to help people with hearing problems. Last October, the town hall provided a sign language interpreter to assist deaf people using their services.
