Yoga enthusiasts attend opening of new studio

An innovative yoga studio was inaugurated near Estepona recently with a party held in the garden outside the studio.

Long-term yoga practitioners were joined by others interested in discovering more about this centuries-old discipline and how Helen Waterloo applies it to the modern age.

After the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, little glasses of 'salmorejo' and larger glasses of a non-alcoholic cocktail based on watermelon and ginger were on offer as well as a vegetarian paella.

Helen's motto is "pain free through yoga" and her aim is to reach out to people suffering from stresses and strains, as well as to guide those wishing to continue maintaining their bodies and minds in a healthy condition.

Helen explains that she wants to help golfers improve their swing, to ease discomforts of pregnant women, to relax back and shoulder muscles of computer users and to teach kiddies control and concentration through play.
