Iconic tower has vegetation removed

N. HESKETH. The Ministry for Heritage has recently undertaken a programme of works to remove vegetation from all four façades of the Tower of Homage. Officials were worried the famous historic tower, visible on entering Gibraltar, could be damaged by the roots of trees and larger shrubs. A specialist team needed to abseil over the façade in order to remove all visible vegetation.
