The Royal Navy's newest aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, spent last weekend in port on her first-ever visit to Gibraltar. The 1,000-strong crew took time out to explore the Rock and take part in local events.

The ship, captained by Commanding Officer Jerry Kydd, left Gibraltar on Monday to continue helicopter flying trials. In the summer, she will trial fixed wing flying off the east coast of the USA.
