The Almuñécar-La Herradura tourist board is carrying out for the first time ever, a street marketing campaign in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. "This important promotion is part our commitment not only to national tourism but also international tourism," said deputy mayor and delegate of Tourism and Beaches Daniel Barbero, at a meeting in Sweden with Emanuel Karlsson, CEO of Rolfs Flyg & Buss and Solresor, the main tour operators operating in the country.
"The campaign in Gothenburg consists of broadcasting a video clip of Almuñécar and La Herradura on four large screens located in strategic locations in the Swedish city. Each screen will broadcast 720 times," he added.
The tourism councillor highlighted that "Nordic countries account for around 20 per cent of the town’s international tourism; therefore they are essential to the town and important to occupancy during the low season."
