Big name blues musicians to give charity concert in Cajiz
Richard Ray Farrell, who lives in the village, is behind the ‘Noche de Blues de Cajiz’ and has invited other well-known artists to perform
The first ‘Noche de Blues de Cajiz’ blues night is taking place on Saturday 22 July in the Axarquía village, with Richard Ray Farrell, who is a resident there, the American singer Suzette Moncrief who also lives on the Costa del Sol as well as the Blue Stompers Jump Review.
The proceeds from the blues night are going towards organising the village’s San José festival, which takes place in March.
Farrell came up with the idea of organising the concert as a charity event with a view to raising funds for the local festival.
The popular blues musician has invited two friends to perform at the event, meaning that the full lineup is the Richard Ray Farrell Trio, Suzette Montcrief and the Blue Stompers Jump Review.
As well as the music there is a raffle and a bar serving tapas and drinks. The event starts at 8pm on the sports field next to Cajiz primary school and organisers are requesting donations of between five and 10 euros by way of entrance tickets.
