Spain's Covid-19 incidence rate continues to climb to 139

In its latest daily update the Ministry of Health notified 6,777 new coronavirus infections and 34 deaths. There are currently 547 Covid patients in intensive care units

In its latest daily coronavirus data update Spain’s Ministry of Health registered 6,777 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus since the start of the pandemic to 5,103,315.

According to figures released on Tuesday, 23 November, the national 14-day coronavirus cumulative incidence rate continues to increase, standing at 139.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to the 132.19 reported on Monday.

Some 34 more Covid-19 deaths have been recorded bringing the official death toll from disease in Spain to 87,866 people.

Intensive care patients

Currently, there are 3,004 patients admitted for Covid-19 to hospitals throughout Spain with 547 in an intensive care unit.

The occupancy rate of beds occupied by coronavirus patients stands at 2.42 per cent on the wards and 5.97 per cent in ICUs.
