King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia welcomed King Felipe and Queen Letizia to Sweden this week and hosted a banquet in their honour on Wednesday evening.

During the visit the Spanish king and queen met members of the Spanish community in Stockholm, took part in a business seminar and visited the Nobel museum.

At the Nobel museum in Stockholm, they attended the exhibition 'Synapsis. Art and science of Spain. From Ramón and Cajal to the present day'. They then stopped at a Christmas market.

After this, Felipe and Letizia separated to fulfil their respective agendas: the king visited Parliament, and the queen visited the Karolinska University Hospital.

For the Wednesday evening banquet, Letizia chose to wear a blue tulle evening dress from the affordable Swedish brand H&M, which was sleeveless and fitted at the waist.

Swedish Crown Princess Victoria previously wore an almost identical gown, but with sleeeves, for her tenth wedding anniversary.

The state trip concluded on Thursday 25 November, with a reception held by Felipe and Letizia in honour of the Swedish king and queen.
