From 16 November visitors to Barcelona and fans of iconic architect Antoni Gaudí have a new sight to add to their must-see list.

In 1883, the same year that he took charge of the work on the Sagrada Familia, Gaudí designed his first house for a businessman client. The architectural gem, UNESCO-protected, is in the Gracia district of Barcelona and has never been open to the public before.

The striking interior with oriental influences has been restored. Fans may need to be patient as only 500 visitors will be allowed in per day.
