The long December ‘bridge’ holiday is coming to an end, but there are still plenty of things going on in Malaga to enjoy your free time. One of those, this Wednesday (8 December), the feast of the Immaculate Conception, is to go shopping, since many stores will raise their shutters on the national public holiday as if it were a normal working day.

In Malaga many shops and hospitality businesses will be open, as well as the Málaga Plaza, Vialia Málaga-Estación María Zambrano, Plaza Mayor, Los Patios, Málaga Nostrum, Rosaleda, and Larios Centro shopping centres.

Large stores such as El Corte Inglés, Leroy Merlin, Ikea, and those located in the Bahía Azul commercial park will also be serving the public.

Retail premises of less than 300 metres have the power to decide whether to open their doors or not on these special dates, but those of Muelle Uno will open, since they usually join the extra shopping days.

Province

In the province you can go shopping in the major commercial centres such as La Cañada (Marbella), La Trocha (Coín), Rincón de la Victoria, Puerto Marina Shopping in Benalmádena, Miramar (Fuengirola), La Verónica (Antequera), El Corte Inglés (Marbella and Mijas), the CostasolCentro Shopping Center (Torremolinos) and El Ingenio (Vélez-Málaga).

Unlike in previous years, the retail sector closed its shutters in Malaga on Monday 6 December, Constitution Day; but that will be the only day this week that they have rested.
