Two dead and long tailbacks on AP-7 as lorry plunges down embankment after colliding with two cars

An accident between two cars and a lorry on the AP-7 motorway on the Malaga-bound carriageway near Marbella has resulted in two fatalities and long tailbacks this Friday afternoon, 14 July.
The collision occurred at kilometre 191, in the municipality of Marbella. Four people have been injured, as confirmed by the 112 emergency service. Traffic authority sources reported several kilometres of tailbacks.
The alarm was raised at around 2pm. A lorry left the road and fell down an embankment after hitting two vehicles that were stationary on the hard shoulder, according to 112.
One of the vehicles, a Jeep, was occupied by five people of whom two have died and the other three have suffered significant injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, an Audi RS3, was also seriously injured.
Ambulance services, members of the Guardia Civil traffic patrols and the Marbella fire brigade were called to the scene.
