The new La Capellanía sanitation network and a road connection with Lomas del Virrey in Marbella is in operation now the council has completed the 800,000-euro improvement works in the area. The aim is to eliminate spillage and contamination from the area's rainwater collector.
In addition, a new link between the La Capellanía residential development and Lomas del Virrey has been enabled, to avoid the need to access the motorway, something strongly requested by the residents of both population centres, said the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, during a visit to the site, accompanied by the town's councillor for Works, Diego López.
The project has also included the installation of new low-energy lighting as part of the town's commitment to "be a role model for sustainability", according to the mayor.
