Malaga is now shining brightly and fully in the swing of the festive season. Firstly, on Friday evening, it was the official switch-on of the city’s Christmas lights, which adorn more than 500 streets this year, and the premiere of light and music spectacular in Calle Larios.
Then, on Saturday evening, the two-kilometre journey through the new La Concepción botanic gardens festive lighting display was unveiled. And, finally, on Sunday evening, a brand-new video-mapped Christmas story sprang into life, with images being projected onto the south tower of Malaga Cathedral in the city centre.
As with the 'Christmas forest' light and music spectacular on Calle Larios, the video-mapping shows will not have a fixed schedule in an effort to avoid large crowds, although organisers say they will not start before 7pm or be shown after 9pm.
