More than 750 athletes from all over Spain will meet in the second Coín-Caminito del Rey Cycling Tour, a 120-kilometre route that will cover the Guadalhorce Valley and the Sierra de las Nieves. The event, for which 500 cyclists have already registered, will take place on 14 May, starting and finishing in Coín, passing through Alhaurín el Grande, Cártama, Pizarra, Álora, Ardales, Casarabonela, El Burgo, Yunquera, Alozaina, Tolox and Guaro.

The Cycling Tour combines the elements of a sporting challenge and a group experience. Although it is not a competitive test, it has a very demanding route that runs along the roads of the Valle del Guadalhorce and Sierra de las Nieves regions. The province of Malaga is one of the most mountainous in Spain and has a network of roads that run through unique natural landscapes both on the coast and inland.

The sports event is consolidated in the province's cycling calendar organised by the town hall and the Coín Cycling Club, together with the support of the provincial council.

The tour was first organised to take place in 2021, but the pandemic forced it to delay its debut until 2022. The first edition was "a success", which has motivated its return for the second consecutive year.
