Alhaurín el Grande to host charity music festival to help support cancer patients

Alhaurín el Grande will host a new charity live music event to help support cancer patients and their families. Organised by the local association, Un Sí Por La Vida, the Alhaurín Pop-Rock Fest will take place on Saturday 13 May at the CEIP Emilia Olivares.

The festival will present a variety of groups, musicians and DJs such as Alejados, Velacruz, Leeloo Music, Malavé, DJ Yu and DJ Manolo Jiménez, among others.

Tickets cost five euros, which includes a free drink, and are available from the cancer charity’s headquarters, located in Calle Esperanza.

The event has the collaboration of the town hall, Radio Televisión Alhaurín El Grande, Lugar de Encuentro magazine, Tocata Radio FM, Cervezas Cruzcampo, Café Lemour and the Nómadas barber shop.

The president of the association, Francisco Torres, highlighted the importance of the event and asked residents and visitors “to join the cause”.

“This festival is yet another example of our commitment in the fight against cancer and the support for patients and their families. We want to fill Alhaurín El Grande with music and, at the same time, contribute to such an important campaign,” Torres said.
