The body of a person was found dead inside a house where a fire broke out yesterday in the municipality of Estepona, according to 112 Andalucía.

The incident was reported at about 4.50pm on Monday (23 October), when a member of the public called the emergency services on 112 because there was a fire in a rural property in the Puerto de La Palma area, in the El Padrón district. The coordination centre alerted the fire brigade, Plan Infoca forest fire brigade, Local and National Police units and the 061 health emergency services.

Sources from the Local Police confirmed to 112 that, after the fire was extinguished, the emergency services found the lifeless body of a person inside the house affected by the blaze, a country property, but no further details have been revealed.
