The marked recovery of tourism on the Costa del Sol compared to the pre-Covid period has meant a great economic and moral injection for businesses in the area, many of which have opted for a much shorter seasonal closure period this year.

This is the case of one of the most important hotel complexes with the largest capacity on the coast: Holiday World Resort, located on the beachfront in BenalmƔdena, which has opted to reopen its doors this month.

The first part of the complex to open was Holiday World Polynesia, which opened in the first week of February, while Holiday World Riwo, as well as the tourist apartment complex, CasamaĆÆa Apartments, opened the following week.

The last to open will be Holiday World Village, the largest in the complex, which is scheduled for an early March opening.

The news has been well-received by the tourism sector, seeing as the resort, which is predicting a 75 per cent occupancy rate for the rest of February, employs more than 200 permanent staff and offers another 50 indirect positions.
