La Carihuela tourist hub in Torremolinos set to undergo a major transformation

Plaza del Remo, the hub of the tourist neighbourhood of La Carihuela, in Torremolinos, will soon undergo a major makeover as part of two projects that are being carried out that will completely transform the area.

The work, which starts next month, will include the construction of the Uniqa complex, a seven-storey building with 21 luxury homes and 24 garages, all of which have already been sold. According to data provided by the company that carried out the marketing, Luxury Properties and Decor, total sales amount to 14 million euros.

The old building that occupied the plot has already been demolished and now everything is ready for the work to begin on the new development. The idea is that the building, which has an original and modern design, will be completed in the summer of 2025.

The project also includes the remodelling of promenade in front of the main square, and the renovation of the popular chiringuito El Canarias.

Both projects are part of an overall plan that will be carried out in the area to make Plaza del Remo a friendlier environment with shaded areas and urban furniture.
