There will be two new on-demand services that will provide a connection service from remote areas of the municipalityDue to the continuous rise in the number of registered residents in Benalmádena, the town hall, together with the company responsible for managing the municipal transport service (Innoben), and the concession company (Avanza), have announced improvements to the local bus service.
In January 2022, Benalmádena was one of the first in the province to launch a free bus service (line103) for those registered in the town. Now, following the success of this measure, the town hall will increase the fleet with one more bus for this line, which will improve frequency and reduce waiting time by 25 minutes.
The improvements will also include the creation of two new lines, 106 and 107, which will be an on-demand service that can be requested on the Avanza TAD app. These services, which are also free to residents, will provide a connection service from remote areas of the municipality to the 103 line and other intercity bus routes.
The town hall said that these new services, which will operate from 8am until 4pm, will be tested to verify the demand, with the possibility of them becoming permanent.
