Back step taken on Puerto Marina pedestrianisation plan
The port area has been reopened to traffic after residents and business owners rejected the plan; the town hall is open to talks to find the best solution

Benalmádena council has reopened Puerto Marina roads to traffic following fierce opposition from local residents and business owners.
Despite previous plans for a "radical transformation", officials scrapped the pedestrian-only pilot scheme this week.
A technical committee will now review the project area-by-area to find a consensus, balancing tourism and accessibility for those living within the marina.
