Vélez-Málaga tourist train to operate during Easter Week
Free tours are being offered from Friday 31 March, departing from the Azucarera old sugar cane factory in Torre del Mar

A tourist train will offer free tours of Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar throughout Easter week. It is scheduled to depart from and return to from Nuestra Señora del Carmen-Antigua Azucarera in Torre del Mar, taking in the old castle on Plaza de la Axarquía and the town's lighthouses of the promenade.
In Vélez-Málaga it will visit the MUVEL (museum of Vélez-Málaga) and San Francisco area, which is home to the old market and Casa Cervantes, where Miguel de Cervantes is believed to have stayed on a visit to the town. It is now home to the official language school and a museum about the famous author.
The first departure is Friday 31 March and will run on Monday 3, Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 April. The departure is 10.30 am. Town hall sources said that they were confident the train would continue to operate at least once a week in the coming months.
