The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice opened its second charity furniture shop in Benalmádena last week. The new store, which is situated next to an existing Cudeca shop, will be the third in Arroyo de la Miel, bringing the total of Cudeca shops to 19 in the province of Malaga.
The official opening of the shop, which is in Calle Sierramar in Arroyo de la Miel, was attended by several officials from Benalmádena town hall, including Ana Scherman, councillor for foreign residents, and Irene Díaz, councillor for social welfare. Also present were Joan Hunt, founder of Cudeca, and Rafael Olalla, financial director.
The shop will sell second hand furniture, CDS and DVDs, books and decorative items.
Cudeca is happy to receive good quality furniture and has recently set up a special collection system for furniture and household appliances that cannot be transported by the donator. The shop also offers a delivery service of items purchased in the new store. The delivery price ranges from 15 to 30 euros depending on the amount spent.
Those wishing to make use of the collection service can call 670 211 028, or arrange collection by email at muebles@cudeca.org
The shop is open from Monday to Friday from 10am until 1.30pm, and 5.30pm until 8.30pm. It will also open on Saturday morning from 10am and 1pm.
