Malaga shot putter Borja Vivas claimed the Spanish indoor championship title on Saturday for the first time since 2018.

Vivas, who has been laid off with a long-term injury, surpassed the 19-metre mark on four occasions, reaching 19.61 on his highest score. His closest rival on the day, Carlos Tobalina, could only score 19.32.

Also on the podium was 20-year-old Isidro Leyva from Nerja who got bronze in pole vault.
