Spanish royals gather in Athens for king's funeral

The funeral of Constantine II, the last king of Greece, and brother of emeritus queen Sofía, brought about a rare public reunion of the Spanish royals. Sofía was accompanied by former monarch Juan Carlos, as well as their daughters, Elena and Cristina, and their children. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia arrived separately, but the monarch was later pictured affectionately greeting his father, an image not seen since 2020.
