A 27-year-old woman dies after being attacked by dogs in Zamora

Despite sending an intensive care unit ambulance, the emergency services were only able to certify her death at the scene on Monday evening

A 27-year-old woman died on Monday evening (23 October) after being attacked by dogs in the Zamora municipality of Roales in the northeast of Spain, according to sources from the regional 112 emergency services control room.

The incident occurred shortly after 6pm, when 112 received a call requesting assistance for a woman who had been knocked unconscious after being attacked by several dogs, whose breed was unknown to the caller, on a road linking the towns of Roales and La Hiniesta (Zamora).

The emergency call handling centre notified the Guardia Civil and Emergencias Sanitarias - Sacyl, which sent a mobile intensive care unit. At the scene, Sacyl medical staff finally confirmed the death of the young woman, who was 27 years old.
