Fire cover boosted in Costa del Sol wildfire hotspot

Last year 42 forest fires were recorded in the municipality of Mijas on the Costa del Sol between the months of June and September.

To help tackle the problem the local council has increased the local brigade's shift coverage in the town during the key hours of the day.

Although in the case of wildfires it is the Junta's Infoca that takes the lead, the Mijas crews play an important role supporting them.
