A 75-year-old woman has been injured after her car plunged from a bridge in Malaga’s El Limonar district into the Toquero stream, this Thursday morning (11 November).

The incident was reported at around 10.50 am when an eyewitness alerted the 112 Andalucía emergency control centre explaining that a vehicle had crashed from the Don Wilfredo bridge into the stream.

Sources report that there was only one person in the car, a 75-year-old woman who was slightly injured in the bridge fall but managed to get out of the vehicle unaided. Despite this, an ambulance team decided to transfer the woman to the Regional Hospital in the city.

Firefighters were called in to help remove the car and make the area safe, while Local Police officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
