The Spanish military's parachute jumps will return to Malaga this Easter with a special show at La Caleta beach on Holy Wednesday.

The Parachute Brigade's event, which was last held in 2019 and has not been held again since the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place at 1.30pm on 27 March.

As SUR reported last Thursday, Malaga mayor Francisco de la Torre sent a letter to Spain's minister of defence Margarita Robles requesting the tradition be brought back this year.

The minister approved the request, to the relief of the people of the city and visitors who used to eagerly await this tradition in previous years.
