Around 800 runners took part on Wednesday morning in Malaga’s traditional San Silvestre Palma Palmilla race. Participants in the fund-raising event chose between courses of either two or ten kilometres. As is tradition in the San Silvestre race, which takes place on New Year’s Eve every year, many runners were in fancy dress. A festive San Silvestre race was also held on Wednesday morning in Torremolinos, where runners covered a course of just over three kilometres. Santa hats came out in other towns on the Costa del Sol that also hosted San Silvestre races this week.
