With the structure of the two 30-storey towers in the Martiricos district of Malaga almost complete the developer, AQ Acentor, has announced that one of the two hotels in the north tower will be managed by the IHG Hotels & Resorts chain and will be the first of its Staybridge Suites establishments in Spain.

This will be a three-star hotel designed for long stays, so the rooms will include kitchen facilities. Staybridge Suites will have 105 suites between the second and sixth floors of the north tower, which will also contain 198 rental apartments.

Hylko Versteeg, director for development in southern Europe at IHG, said the suites will be perfect for long stays for business or leisure purposes.

The plans for the north tower include a total of 300 hotel rooms up to the 13th floor. The south tower, whose construction is finished now, will have 252 apartments for sale. AQ Acentor says the two buildings will gradually come into use next year, and that the project marks a before and after for Malaga’s urban landscape.
