Spain's National Police force is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman aged between 30 and 40 whose naked body was found on Tuesday 24 October in a stream bed near La Huertecilla industrial estate in Malaga city. The body was found in an advanced state of decomposition, according to SUR sources.
The discovery was made at around 10.45am. The body was found covered in a blanket and hidden with reeds in the 'Pocapringue' stream bed. Given its state of putrefaction, it has not yet been possible to identify the body, although, according to sources, it is that of a woman.
The body showed signs of violence, including a blow to the head, although it has not yet been possible to determine its cause until the autopsy is carried out, which will take place this morning (Wednesday 25 October).
The investigation has been taken over by the homicide group of the National Police's Malaga provincial headquarters, which is also checking through recent missing persons reports filed with the force.
