El Corte Inglés is looking to boost the number of workers in its stores for the peak Christmas and Three Kings shopping period. The company plans to hire an additional 6,000 staff, who will join the existing workforce to face the most important shopping campaign of the year.

The company has not yet detailed how many of these jobs will be created in the province, although they do anticipate that those selected will be deployed both in Malaga city centre and Mijas. Specifically, the workers will reinforce existing staff on the sales floors, checkout lines, shelf replenishment and gift packaging areas.

Those interested must be availabile from November to January and be prepared to work in different areas of the shopping centres. El Corte Inglés adds that previous experience is not essential, although it will be valued if it is provided. The company has also developed a training programme for the extra staff taken on.

Additionally, the company is also looking for staff to work in its Supercor and Supercor Express stores on the Costa del Sol to stock the shelves and work on the cash registers.
