The commuter train service linking Malaga with Ɓlora was suspended for around two hours near Pizarra on Sunday due a person near the tracks.

According ... to rail operator Renfe, the incident occurred at 1.10pm and services fully resumed at 3pm.

The medium-distance line also closed for the same reason, but it was able to resume service earlier than expected.

According to the emergency services, the man was initially standing on the tracks, signalling to the train to stop. He subsequently climbed onto a signal box.

The Guardia Civil, the Local Police, firefighters and the medical services were dispatched to the scene.
