Earthquake recorded in Benalmádena felt along the Costa del Sol

A 4.1-intensity earthquake has been recorded in Benalmádena this Sunday evening at a depth of 60 kilometres.

The tremor, which occurred at 8.47pm, according to the National Geographic Institute, was also felt at different points along the Costa del Sol, including Mijas and Fuengirola as well as Malaga city.

No consequences have been reported due to the depth of the movement, at 60 kilometres.

This is the second earthquake recorded this weekend in the area, after a 2.1-magnitude tremor was detected in Torremolinos on Friday at a depth of 90 kilometres.
