Axarquía Buddhist centre celebrates 25 years
The Centre's Stupa de Kalachakra is thought to be the first of its kind to be built in the West
SUR.
The Karma Guen Buddhist Centre in Aldea Alta, near Vélez-Málaga, celebrated last Thursday the 25th anniversary of its Stupa de Kalachakra. The ceremony was officiated by Ledo Rimpoche.
The Stupa de Kalachakra, which symbolises the body, words and mind of Buddha, is believed to be the first of its kind to be have been built in the West.
