The whole of the Andalucía region will remain at coronavirus health alert Level 0, it was decided this Wednesday, 1 December.

As a result no new measures have been adopted to limit capacity or hours in bars and restaurants in an attempt to stop the transmission of the coronavirus.

The indications are that the next meetings of the Junta's territorial committees will probably now be held after the long 'puente' of public holidays, which includes Constitution Day on Monday and the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday.

Health experts have told SUR that in order to adopt restrictions, not only the cumulative incidence rate of Covid cases in the last 14 days is measured, but also other factors such as the level of occupied hospital beds and the pressure on intensive care units.

Currently, the situation in hospitals is good in terms of the number of patients with the virus admitted and are nowhere near the figures that were reached in previous waves of SARS-CoV-2.

However, they stressed that people must still be cautious, as the virus circulates freely. For this reason, they recommend that the public use masks indoors, as well as outdoors when it is not possible to maintain a safety distance, avoid crowds, frequently ventilate closed places and have good hand hygiene.
