The Covid-19 incidence rate continues to rise in Andalucia, to stand at 42.2

Some 439 coronavirus infections and one death have been registered in the daily update from the Junta's Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA)


The Andalucía region has this Friday, 12 November, registered a total of 439 coronavirus infections in 24 hours, a figure lower than the 467 infections on Thursday but higher than the 422 a week ago.

One Covid death has been recorded, the same as the day before and four less than last week.

According to the data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), the 14-day cumulative incidence rate in the region has increased by two 24 hours, and the virus is found in 42.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, higher than the 34.6 points from last Friday.

The 439 infections added this Friday are counted after the 467 on Thursday, 395 on Wednesday, 289 on Tuesday, 290 on Monday and Sunday (48 hours), 363 on Saturday and the 422 last Friday.

Malaga is the province that registers the most new coronavirus infections with 127, followed by Seville with 68, Cordoba (56), Cadiz (54), Jaén (35) and Huelva and Almería with 34.

The only Covid-19 death was reported in Seville province.

Hospital patients

There has been a rise of four patients hospitalised by coronavirus compared to Thursday to reach a total of 182, which represents an increase of 13 compared to last week, while the number of patients admitted to an intensive care unit has risen by one to 34, one fewer than last week.
