Almeria is famous for being the land of cinema and numerous films, in particular westerns, are shot in the Andalusian province every year. On Monday 9 September 2024, casting will be taking place in the city for an international film project. It seeks to recreate the magic of the classic westerns, and to do so, it needs a diverse cast to capture the essence of that iconic era.
The casting team has launched an open call for men and women between the ages of 18 and 70. Although the call is wide-ranging, particular emphasis has been placed on the need to find men with long hair and beards, an essential profile to recreate the typical characters of a western. An opportunity for those who identify with this image and wish to be part of a production that promises to revive the spirit of western films.
The casting will take place at the Hotel Elba on Avenida del Mediterráneo, at the junction with Calle Costa Balear. The selection process will take place in two time slots, from 10am to 1pm and then from 3 to 7pm.
Hopefuls must take along valid DNI or NIE identification. This ensures that candidates meet the legal requirements necessary to participate in the production.
The selection team reserves the right to close the doors before the stipulated time if the maximum capacity of applicants is reached. This underlines the importance of arriving early to secure a place at the audition.
