Andalucía has this Friday, 26 November, registered a total of 1,045 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, more than the 718 of last Friday. The region has also added five more coronavirus deaths, three more than Thursday and the two a week ago.
This is detailed in the official data provided by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), which indicates that the 14-day incidence rate has increased by 7.1 in 24 hours and the virus is found in 90.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to the 61.1 on the same day last week. It is the highest figure since 14 September (98.6).
The 1,045 infections this Friday follow the 983 on Thursday, 783 on Wednesday, 425 on Tuesday, 782 on Monday and Sunday, 741 on Saturday, and the 718 last Friday.
Seville is the province with the most positive infections with 259, followed by Malaga with 231, Cadiz (154), Cordoba (132), Almeria (97), Huelva (83), Granada (47) and Jaén with 42.
Regarding the five deaths, two were recorded in Seville and one each, in Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada provinces.
The has been a decrease, of one, in the number of people hospitalised for Covid-19 to make a total of 256. It represents an increase of 52 in the week-on-week comparison. The number of patients admitted to an intensive care unit remains at 47, seven more than last Friday.
