In its first year, Noches en el Castillo, the event will run from 1 to 8 August and all concerts will start at 10.30pm. It has been described by the town hall as "an eclectic mix of music with something for all tastes," and includes blues, jazz, pop and traditional Andalusian music.
On Wednesday 1 August there will be jazz from 'Son Mediterráneo', while on Thursday 2, Juan Valderrama will sing copla and flamenco. On Friday 3 August, the group 'One Piano and 200 Velas' (candles) will take to the stage. Saturday 4 will see David Moreno and Cristina Calleja performing piano and stunning visual effects, while on Sunday 5 August, Andrés Segovia International Guitar competition runner up, Laura Lootens, who is from Germany, will be playing the guitar.
Fans of the film and musical, The Lion King, will be able to hear their favourites from the soundtrack with 'From Simba to Kiara; a tribute to The Lion King', and Malaga rock band, Danza Invisible, who recently performed at the Weekend Beach festival in Torre del Mar, will be closing this year's event.
Tickets for the festival can be bought online from www.consiguetuentrada.com, or in person at Papelería Cris Páramo (Acera del Pilar La Herradura) or two hours before each concert at the box office at the castle itself.
